I picked up this book because I was definitely on a book hangover from finishing the first four books in Jennifer L. Armentrout's Lux series. This was such a fun and exciting read, just like the Lux series. It was pretty addictive and I really enjoyed the story. The book is about a young girl named Layla who is half warden and half demon. She was raised by wardens though, so she has always been taught to hate and hunt demons. That is, until she meets Roth, a young but powerful demon who shows her that there are two sides to everything. As Layla discovers more about her demon heritage and where she really came from, she is caught between her loyalty to her warden family and her new friendship with Roth. The ending definitely has me anticipating the sequel, which doesn't come out until October! I am counting down the days until I can continue this awesome series! Jennifer L. Armentrout is definitely becoming one of my new favorite authors!
