The Exorcist by William Peter Blatty Review
I love watching horror movies and reading horror novels, so I obviously wanted to read this classic. The exorcist, for those of you who don't already know, is the story of a twelve year old girl named Regan who becomes possessed by a demon. The book also follows a young Priest, Damien Karras, who is struggling with his faith. Chris MacNeil, Regan's mother, seeks Damien's help in exorcising the demon from Regan.
While the book had it's creepy moments, I expected a lot more of it. I only gave this book 3/5 stars because I was disappointed with how slow the story moved and the lack of truly terrifying scenes. I have yet to see the movie, but I'm hoping it will be scarier than the book.
